The begining

Often my writer friends and colleagues have asked me why I don't blog? And often I have pondered over the idea. Finally..it seems...I have the time and thoughts to write a blog.

I studied journalism at the Bachelor's level and then did a diploma in travel writing. I have been a general reporter for the past five years with many publications across the globe and then I have travelled a bit too. so, on m first thoughts, it seems my blog will combine the two -- travelling and journalism.

Ideally, this will be a log of my travels, unexpected situations that I have come across, happy or unhappy circumstances I have been in, combined with travel tips that may come in handy sometimes.

Once in a while I also intend to pitch in a few social thoughts that are triggered through my head when I read something thought provoking or when there is a situation that I may come across that I want to share with others. Or the cross cultural experiences that I have had.

And how can I forget photography. Thats one of the activities I enjoy the most and I do inend to post my best pics here.

In short, this is a socio-cultural-travel-portal that is an opportunity for me to express what feel about these issues and an opportunity for others to read the same! happy reading!
