Food Fiasco

So, I was at Times Square in New York, when a friend, who recently came from India, suggested that we all eat hot dogs. Well.... sometimes making food choices in the West can be disastrous. Not because there is anything wrong with the hot dogs, except for one thing -- here they are made of beef unlike the potato ones that we get in India. And, I am sure for most Indians beef is a no-no on the menu list.

It is always good to research a bit on the food before you travel. It only makes your life easier and avoids any such disasters!

But i believe as a traveller one should try all the food available.

On the other hand I believe there should be two categories of eating. Vageterian and non vageterian.

If you are eating nonveg then eating not beef doesnt make a different. u r still killin for your eating.

This is tottaly my point of view. no hard feelings

and i read somewhere that the cow in america is not considered holy as "gaye humare mata hai" only holds true for indian cows...so why do some people fuss about beef in the US?

Exactly. When you are killing one being, then how come you cant kill the other. And yeah American Cow is not our Mata....

Skeeter: I totally agree!

Sam: Well..not everyone can try everything. Like I follow vegetarianism...not due to religion but out of personal choice.. and so it gets important that I know what I am eating.

yatin: For some people a cow is a cow...be it in India or the US.

Yogee: I agree tat killing is killing...be it one or other...but then there are some who dont believe in killing u see.
